Endorsement of the day

Sharron Angle picked up an important new endorsement today:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio rode back into town Tuesday, this time to fire up voters and to stump for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle in her bid to unseat Democratic Sen. Harry Reid.

But the polarizing sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., only briefly mentioned the GOP candidate during his 13-minute speech to a friendly crowd of Angle and Tea Party supporters at Stoney's Rockin' Country bar and dance hall on Las Vegas Boulevard South.

During that brief mention, the septuagenarian sheriff mispronounced Angle's last name, calling her what sounded like "Sharron Anglund."

A few people in the crowd tried to correct him, yelling out, "Angle! Angle!"

Angle has "said some nice things about me," Arpaio said. "It's very nice."

Angle, as you know, is under fire for running an ad attacking Harry Reid on illegal immigration that features swarthy young Latino men sneaking around and looking generally menacing. She has since claimed that the men in her ad aren't necessarily Latino and insisted her ad is about border security in general, a clear effort to moderate her stance. Though the above event was organized by Tea Partyers, and not by the Angle campaign, it's still hard to see how Arpaio's endorsement will help in that regard.

(Via Markos)

UPDATE, 3:21 p.m.: My bad: Arpaio already endorsed Angle two months ago. But this is the first time he's campaigned for her, and the timing -- given Angle's efforts to distance herself from her, ahem, racially charged ad -- remains pretty amusing.

Touching it came shortly after she addressed the that young Hispanic group that she couldn't tell if they were really Hispanic or Asian.

Another really neat endorsement.

Christine O'Donnell listed hate monger Pamella Gellar as having endorsed her.

I just don't care about which Fascist has endorsed a fellow Fascist.

........................

The second question asked: "Compared with previous elections, are you more enthusiastic about voting than usual, or less enthusiastic?" Only 47 percent of Dems said they were more enthusiastic. Meanwhile, while seventy percent of Republicans said the same -- 23 points higher.
..................

Greg,

You are getting your knickers in a bunch over this?

Read it again, and stop and think for a moment. They asked Democrats if they are more enthused than they were over previous elections. 47% of Democrats said that they were more enthused. That is an astonishingly high number that stated that they are now more enthused about voting, than they were in 2008, 2006, 2004, and 2002.

Think about it man. 47% say they are more enthused than they were when they elected Obama, and swept in huge Democratic margins in The House In Senate.

Even I am not more enthused, than I was when I was working to oust the Republicans, but that does not mean a damn thing, because I am still just as committed to backing Democrats now.

Its imperative you GOOGLE--the keyword "Anchor Babies Costs" and read Frosty Woodbridges report and come think, all his reports? Read all the official articles and do your deeper investigation for yourselves. Its likely you will have heart palpitations over the dollar figures. In addition read about one illegal family and the money they are collecting from taxpayers. A Frosty says, "In California the cost for all five of their children for one school year exceeds $35,000.00 times 18 years for a grand taxpayer total of $630,000.00. This is only one family. No wonder California is $38 billion in debt.

To interate go to GOOGLE--and establish your own priorities of where taxpayer dollars should be going? Why should you enter this country without permission and immediately have access to other people's money? On the non-profit website of NumbersUSA are all the answers you need to this spreading problem, including Immigration grades of both the Liberal Democrats and Republicans. If pro-illegal immigrant voters don't remove Senator Reid, Boxer, Pelosi, Napolitano, Leader and Holder, we are looking at a perilous financial situation, a collapsing infrastructure and worse millions more economic migrants trying to slip into our country. The truth is either party is to blame for this mess, Republicans giving in to the profits of businesses using cheap labor. Then we have the Liberals and Democrats hoping to hold onto their power, by showing not for their love for illegal immigrants, but for future votes.

The Liberal press never gives the truth about an assessment of number illegal aliens settled here, or the incredulous costs to hospitals, the education system and a overcrowded prisons. Then again, neither political party will offer a genuine, in the American people's interest to start self-deportation through Attrition. The state of Arizona has the right idea of the passage of SB1070 and I respect them for protecting their citizens and residents even though must fight for sanity in the federal courts. As a blogger I can only give you an outline of costs to you. Under the Democratic Senate and house they will keep on forcing you to pay for all these free handouts that the low income Americans are rejected for. Illegal alien women with Anchor Babies can immediately receive section 8 housing when they have three to six children. Read all the outrageous facts of where your taxpayer dollars go in the illegal alien gigantic pool of money.

Well termed "Anchor Babies" illustrates the economic costs to support at least 300.000 of these children of illegal alien females every year. Anchor babies born to illegal aliens instantly qualify as citizens for welfare entitlements and have caused enormous rises in Medicaid costs and stipends under Supplemental Security Income and Disability Income. In Georgia alone gleaned by a true patriotic American Frosty Woodbridge, " Births of illegal aliens in Georgia cost to taxpayers (Remember, intentional or not, statistics where illegal immigration is almost unobtainable. 2000-- 5,133 births cost: $13 million; 2001-- 9,528 births cost: $23 million;2002—11,188 births cost: $27 million. Today I have just heard the State of Arizona is taking a stand on this fireball issue, that their county recorder offices are not issuing birth certificates to children of alien parents.

ANOTHER AMNESTY AND TRILLIONS MORE DOLLARS UNDER SENATOR REID'S RETURN.

When does the US government get the right, to extort money from taxpayers to pay for illegal alien children education, health care and a huge number of undisclosed programs thatcater to these people? But if Senator Reid, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and all their Democrats followers get returned to the corruption of Washington. Vice President Joe Biden has a similar voting record on illegal immigration to Reid, Boxer, Pelosi, including funding for Sanctuary Cities and no limit to money for illegal aliens. Mark my word the first thing they will do, is to pass the next Amnesty. We might not care to much for the elites in the GOP, but with the involvement of the Tea Party, the majority leaders will not be able to carry on the wishes of their corporate masters as before. With the hidden influences of the shadow government, led by George Soros they are rest assured to stick us with the 13 to 20 illegal immigrants shielded in Sanctuary Cities and States such as California. The painful result as analyzed by the Heritage foundation is we can add another 2.6 TRILLION dollars, to the US Government deficit of 13 TRILLION.

We need to take a page of Europe and mass deport them, opening the way for jobs for Americans. This will take time using a new powerful identification program, for business to use and extract illegal labor. All these so called shovel-ready jobs using shady contractors should be forced to use E-Verify. However Senator Reid only allowed E-Verify to pass as a voluntary program. Harry Reid and his minions are a menace to our society, and him as an Incumbent and all the rest should not be allowed anywhere near Washington. He is certainly a tax and spend ultimate liberal, ready to drain your wage packet and purse by allowing illegal workers to join our Social Security benefit program. Interesting enough, FAIR has also diagnosed that annually we the taxpayers dish out another $113 Billion dollars, catering to pregnant women who steal into America, so they can collect benefits, low income housing for the instant citizenship children.

The case must be reopened, without Justice Thomas being allowed to participate.

How many other cases has his vote been compromised in? It might be time to consider impeaching him, and removing him from the bench.

Democrats Could Lose Up To 8,000 Seats In Upcoming Midterm Election

According to recent media reports, Democrats stand to lose as many as 8,000 congressional seats and more than 917 gubernatorial races in November's midterm elections. "Republicans are poised to pick up 1,500 seats in Ohio alone, and could wind up with a 23,576-to-12 majority in the Senate," Beltway observer Isaac Hundt said Wednesday, noting the GOP's advantage is likely to increase by Election Day given that its candidates are outspending their opponents by some $900 trillion. "With Democratic disapproval ratings in the quadruple digits, it's a foregone conclusion that Republicans will not only retake Congress, but hold it for the next 20,000 to 25,000 years." Experts also predicted the one-sided election results would cause Barack Obama to die on the spot, at which point the nation's leading conservative talk-radio host would be sworn in as president of the United States forever.

OT - Talk about activists judges, this takes the cake:

As George H. Painter was preparing to retire recently as one of two administrative law judges presiding over investor complaints at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, he issued an extraordinary request:

Please don't assign my pending cases to the other judge.

In a notice recently released by the CFTC, Painter said Judge Bruce Levine, his longtime colleague, had a secret agreement with a former Republican chairwoman of the agency to stand in the way of investors filing complaints with the agency.

"On Judge Levine's first week on the job, nearly twenty years ago, he came into my office and stated that he had promised Wendy Gramm, then Chairwoman of the Commission, that we would never rule in a complainant's favor," Painter wrote. "A review of his rulings will confirm that he fulfilled his vow," Painter wrote.

Painter continued: "Judge Levine, in the cynical guise of enforcing the rules, forces pro se complainants to run a hostile procedural gauntlet until they lose hope, and either withdraw their complaint or settle for a pittance, regardless of the merits of the case."

The CFTC oversees trading of the nation's most important commodities, including oil, gold and cotton. The agency's administrative law judges handle cases in which investors allege that trading professionals or financial firms violated the rules.

But these type of people have no shame. They do not think of the future of america. Number one, I live in Texas and the crime going on here from illegals is horrible. Secondly, if you speak to latinos that are citizens here they support secure borders and want something done about our illegal issues. Many have stated more than once they fled from problems like drug cartels, gangs so they could raise their children with opportunities they did not have. Lastly, these liberal people and their agenda for america has been exposed and the majority of americans find it repugnent. They know they are losing their battle to turn the whole face of america into anything goes. Well, there are laws in this country that moral, good people abide by. Illegal immigration is against the law. Sharon Angle has latino grandchildren. She will not lose votes. Given that the duck is a figment of his imagination, much like the rest of his universe, and that he probably learned how to speak and write English by watching monday night football, I'll go with "AFLAC".

My favorite part of his comment, however, is that we Democrats are trying to turn America into "anything goes." He's got me on that one. I am obviously a fierce advocate for total anarchy.

Yes, it is remarkable how we clever Democrats are simultaneously taking everyone's freedoms away while promoting utter and complete lawlessness. The world's first totalitarian anarchists.

TheMonkey Community has issued a press release, declaring that they are so relieved to hear that Glenn Beck admits that he is not related to them.

I think their closing lines said it all.

@mike: "What a silly argument."

It wasn't an argument - I was poking fun at you.

This is just more of the guilty-unless-proven innocent garbage you guys have been shoveling for days now:

"It's not rare for a Justice to attend a seminar sponsored by a group with judicial or political interests... Virtually all companies, meanwhile, are affected by the judicial branch. So long as Scalia and Thomas did not participate in overt partisan activities, there would be no apparent conflict of interest.

"... There is nothing to prevent Supreme Court justices from hanging out with people who have political philosophies," said Steven Lubet, a professor of law at Northwestern University who teaches courses on Legal Ethics.

"... Koch has always been an active political and philanthropic giver. And its checks have been sent to Democrats as well as Republicans (though weighted more heavily to the latter).

"... Suggestions that Justices Scalia and Thomas's support of Citizens United may have been affected by their time with Koch officials ignores the fact that nothing concrete is known about what meetings they attended and when. Even then, Lubet argues, it would be difficult to argue that there is "a troublesome nexus between the event and the decision."

The democrats have ceased to even TRY to defend Obama.

Obama is still a DRAG on the economy.

The NAACP is mumbling something about a report they made about how bad other people are......

There is nothing coming from the democrats.

Obama is set to have some more big rallies - and REMIND EVERYONE WHY THEY WANT TO VOTE STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN.

Yep, you're right sbj, TARP was a success. But you didn't answer the question, is the ad misleading or not?

Or does your definition of misleading depend on who is doing the misleading? On the previous thread you argued that Conway's clearly accurate ad about Rand Paul was misleading but now you think this ad from Rove is fine?

-NAACP leader calls on Palin, Armey to condemn racists in tea party-

"Palin is out there with Tea Party Express, which hasn't held Williams to account," Jealous said, adding that Palin should "distance herself from Tea Party Express until they've held Williams accountable."

[...]

The study also charges that national tea party factions have at times offered a platform for racists, anti-Semites and other bigots. Among its findings:

• The Council of Conservative Citizens, the largest white nationalist group in the United States, has led and promoted tea party events.

• The leader of one local tea party group used to be involved with the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

• Bill Roper, the avowed white nationalist who is running for governor of Arkansas, has had the backing of some tea party activists.

• Former Klansman David Duke broadcast a 10-minute online video speech, "Message to the Tea Party," in which he paid homage to the movement and the Founding Fathers -- a sign, says the report, that "hard-core white nationalists regard the Tea Party movement as a reservoir of racists, and as potential supporters of a more ideologically defined white nationalism."

"Someone like David Duke shouldn't feel at home in any party in this country," said Jealous, referring to Duke as "one of the most outspoken bigots in our history." "Right now he sees a home in the tea party."

Well I thought I did answer...

Th ad claims that Reid pushed for the "Wall St bailout" - he certainly did. I do not find the ad misleading. Reid was a big supporter for using the funds to bail out the auto industry, and he along with Obama championed the release of the second TARP $350 million.

If the objective is to draw a conclusion about MILLIONS OF AMERICANS based on those few people which you cite in the NAACP report,

In addition, Obama brought his CHILDREN to listen to Rev. Wright, week after week, year after year.

Have them clarify under oath if this information coming out now shouldn't have made them exclude themselves from cases because of a possible conflict of interest."

What is this, another new "oversight" power of Congress -- over the Supreme Court????? Some Waxman is going to send them a letter and demand they come on down and be questioned under oath, because he thinks they shouldn't have attended an event? @prags: "So the fact that the ad is reinforcing fears that are based on a misunderstanding of the reality that TARP was successful doesn't bother you at all, huh sbj?"

Honestly? No.

It is not misleading. It does not claim that TARP was a success or failure. It cannot "reinforce fears" by stating a fact.

And while you and I both call TARP a success there are still many who legitimately believe it was not. And they have good reason as well:

"One of those subsidies is the $350 billion that savers forgo each year because the Fed keeps interest rates near zero, according to Petzel’s calculations. While banks can borrow at close to zero from the Fed, they lend to consumers and corporations at almost 5 percent, or to the Treasury at 2.5 percent, and they get to keep the difference.

“The huge wealth transfer from fixed-income pensioners to the banks has helped the banks repay TARP,” Petzel said."

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-10-20/bailout-of-wall-street-returns-8-2-profit-to-taxpayers-beating-treasuries.html

In fact, there is one part of TARP that will show a loss:

"The Treasury said in an Oct. 5 report that it expects to lose about $17 billion on the separate $80 billion TARP payout to Detroit automakers General Motors Co. and Chrysler LLC."

I think you'll remember that Reid was a big supporter of this aspect?

If some of these people would have to work for a living they would understand why we don't want or need illegals. They are draining our society and abusing our social services. They are under cutting roofers, plumbers, electricians and all the skilled trades. Talk to an American worker or taxpayer and see how they feel about illegals. We are in the middle of a depression and if it was the 1930 do you really think there would be a question of a job that an American would not do. It is going to get to that point in this country again, there will be no money for social services, work or starve. See how fast the illegals are deported then. It seems most comments are from liberal bleeding heart liberals, Judge Judy for president in 2012.

Sharron Angle is essentially calling the voters of Nevada stupid, because only a person who thinks you are stupid would tell so many made up lies to your face and think you would believe her.....and apparently she's right.
