Sarah Palin spoofed in Alzheimer's book promo

Author Jean Carper has taken a very serious subject -- Alzheimer's disease -- for the subject of her new book and turned to satire to promote it. A promotional video for Carper's "100 Simple Things You Can Do to Prevent Alzheimer's and Age-Related Memory Loss" features the actress Mimi McDonald as Sarah Palin struggling to remember her lines for the taping. The video is entertaining but does it ridicule Palin, or sufferers of Alzheimer's, or both? You be the judge.

"Does the video ridicule Palin"

I think people like Carper should step it down a little with this Palin stuff. It's like shooting fish in a barrell.

didbug said, "it's like shooting fish in a barrel." And we all know about those dead fish thingys...they go with the flow, or sink and swim, or is it reload? I'm never sure which analogy applies to what with Her Highness.

Very funny, very well done; spot-on impersonation. Does the video ridicule Sarah Palin? Um, is the Pope hated with passion by the liberal elites there in Washington D.C.? But I can't see how anyone could stretch to find that this ridicules Alzheimers victims.

She should do comedy, not just write medical books. What talent!

No, this does nothing to make fun of Alzheimer's patients. It is, however, a delicious send-up of a wannabe politician who insults our intelligence every time she opens her mouth (or writes on her hand. Nicely done, Ms. Carper!

What a hoot! The only thing I see wrong is the time. Too much time. Cut a quarter of it out.....what a hoot. Of course I love Sarah Palin. I think she is what this country needs....a breath of fresh air...not afraid to tackle the establishment. If she is elected pres look for the country to rally around her as we did for Kennedy!
