At 10 a.m. -- House Financial Services holds hearing on "Alternatives for Promoting Liquidity in the Commercial Real Estate Markets, Supporting Small Businesses and Increasing Job Growth."
After 10 a.m. -- Freddie Mac issues weekly U.S. mortgage rates.
At 11 a.m. -- Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City releases its manufacturing index for the 10th Fed district for July.
At 1:30 p.m. -- Vice President Biden, with Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz, holds a "Middle Class Task Force" event to announce a new debt relief rule to protect financially distressed consumers.
At 2 p.m. -- House Financial Services' Capital Markets Subcommittee holds hearing on the "Future of Housing Finance: The Role of Private Mortgage Insurance."
