At 8:30 a.m. -- The Labor Department releases data on productivity for
the second quarter.
At 9 a.m. -- Federal Reserve policymakers meet to discuss the economy and interest rates
At 9 a.m. -- House lawmakers meet to consider legislation passed last
week by the Senate that would help recession-battered states keep teachers on public payrolls.
At 10 a.m. -- The Commerce Department releases data on wholesale
inventories.
At 2:15 p.m. -- Federal Reserve policymakers release their decision on
interest rates along with a statement on the economic outlook.
