Economic agenda: Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010

At 8:30 a.m. -- Labor Department releases initial claims for unemployment benefits for the week ending the prior Saturday.

At 8:30 a.m. -- Producer Price Index for August released.

At 8:30 a.m. -- U.S. current account deficit for 2Q released by the Commerce Department.

At 9 a.m. -- Treasury International Capital flows report for July released.

At 2 p.m. -- House Ways and Means Committee holds second day of hearings on China's exchange rate policy. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is scheduled to testify.
