At 8:30 a.m. -- The Labor Department releases consumer-price index for January.

At 10 a.m. -- The Conference Board releases leading economic indicators for January.

At 10 a.m. -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, FDIC chairwoman Sheila Bair, SEC chairwoman Mary Schapiro and Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Gary Gensler testify about the Dodd-Frank financial-reform act before the Senate Banking Committee.
