Rasmussen: Corbett up 12 points

2:23 PM ET, 10/ 3/2010

Republican Tom Corbett continues to enjoy a comfortable, double-digit lead in Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial race, according to a new poll.

The Rasmussen survey released Saturday found Corbett beating Democratic nominee Dan Onorato by 12 points, 53 percent to 41 percent. Only five percent of likely voters remain undecided just over four weeks before Election Day, according to the poll.

Those results cut against other public polls that have shown the race to be tightening considerably in recent days. A Franklin & Marshall College poll last week showed Corbett ahead by just four points.

The survey of 750 likely voters, conducted Sept. 29, had a margin of error of four percent.
