The New Technorati
Technorati, which made a name for itself as the Google of the blogosphere, introduced a new look today. Why? As Technorati founder and CEO Dave Sifry noted on his own blog entry this morning, "The world has changed."
It used to be that we'd go to a sites like Technorati to find blogs, YouTube for video clips, Flickr for photos, Google or Yahoo for Web sites and so on. But, increasingly, users expect to get a little bit of everything when they conduct online searches. And at the new Technorati, that's what you get: videos, images, music, podcasts, games and more.
Kind of sounds like what we're also getting from Google, Yahoo and others now, too.
Anyway, Sifry notes that the new Technorati was six months in the making and that more changes are coming. "We haven't gotten it 100% right yet, and we're going to keep working hard to improve, but I think we've made a big step forward with this launch," he writes on his blog.
