Craigslist Founder Talks Newspapers, Obama

Craig Newmark takes his day job pretty serious. The founder of Craigslist, the online classified site, stopped by the Post yesterday and told us how he spends a lot of his time doing customer service -- especially watching out for anything offensive that might get posted to the site. He also downplayed the site's impact on the newspaper business. The free classifieds often have been cited as a reason for declining readership, and more importantly declining advertising revenue.

Of course most of these claims of classifiend advertising pain caused by Craiglist are urban myths! Kudos to the Post for handing a microphone to this guy. Very interesting stuff.

"takes his day job pretty serious"?

What sort of grammar is that? At least use the correct adverb -- "seriously" -- and perhaps a better word than "pretty" to mean "fairly."

It may seem to be a minor point, but it makes me crazy when writers and editors allow adjectives to stand in for adverbs. You all know better! This just makes you sound

.
Now THAT's real news: another member of the ultra-liberal loony-left a-kissing that Kerry-like shallow, arrogant, platitude-spouting, inexperienced, elitist, gas-bag who is so mentally deficient from extensive drug use he even has to plagiarize his hollow platitudes, and who hijacked the nomination with fewer votes than Hillary received.

All the news that NOT fit to print.

ALEX-
The guy you describe(without a single fact) as "ultra-liberal loony-left a-kissing that Kerry-like shallow, arrogant, platitude-spouting, inexperienced, elitist, gas-bag" is making tons more money than you are, has had more impact in the world than you have, has a candidate who is respected by twice the portion of the population as W and who will likely be the next president.
Alex- You lose.
