Week Ahead: DOJ Comments On Google Books Due

Rising to the top of the list for me this week are the Justice Department's comments due Friday on the controversial digital books settlement struck between Google and book publishers and authors. The antitrust division of the DOJ will have until then to file comments to the the U.S. District Court of Southern New York about antitrust implications of the deal. The federal court will hold a hearing on the settlement Oct. 7.

On Tuesday, the Center for Democracy and Technology will outline what it believes to be the biggest tech policy actions on the table. Focus for the privacy advocates will be net neutrality, behavioral advertising and cyber-security issues.
