But is he REALLY dead? I mean, I hate to be graphic here - BUT HAS ANYONE DRIVEN A STAKE THROUGH HIS HEART AND THEN CUT OFF HIS HEAD SO HE WON'T RETURN AS A HORRIBLE, ARTERY-PIERCING CREATURE OF THE NIGHT???

I'm just ASKING.

This is quite a coincidence as I'm now reading a book titled "Sundays with Vlad" by Paul Bibeau that examines vampire lore. He claims, contrary to the obit, that Bram Stoker was NOT inspired by Vlad the Impaler because he knew next to nothing about him. But that's another story.
