Habitat for Humanity Co-Founder Dies
Millard Fuller, the millionaire entrepreneur who gave it all away to help found the Christian house-building charity Habitat for Humanity, died Tuesday. He was 74.
Fuller died about 3 a.m. en route to a hospital in Albany, Ga. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Dr. Stanley D. Smith, I am afraid that the matter is not as simple as all that.
Previously published (and usually reliable) biographical articles clearly say that the Fullers went to Africa as missionaries with the Church of Christ, and Mr. Fuller said that through the years as well in media interviews.
Mr. Fuller's wife now says that they were sponsored by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), although Millard was a member of the United Church of Christ.
The members of UCC are also interested in being affiliated with Mr. Fuller and first contacted me about this, saying that Mr. Fuller was their representative in Africa. As soon as we can establish if there was an error, we will be happy to correct it. However, we do not want to confuse the situation.

Unfortunately Patricia Sullivan did not get her facts straight. Millard Fuller and his wife went to Zaire as missionaries with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), not the Church of Christ.
