Redstone v. Reaper

Adam Bernstein

Sumner Redstone, the 85-year-old chairman of media properties CBS Corp. and Viacom, gave a recent interview in which he jabs at other media moguls, including Ted Turner and Rupert Murdoch; boasts of his sexual predilictions, particularly his attraction to married women; and, most alarmingly, of his belief he is impervious to death.

"The people who fear dying are the people who are going to die," Redstone said. "I'm not going to die. I'm going to live forever."

Reminds me of the old line about why the Wall Street Journal never had obits (until very recently): Its core audience thought itself immortal.
