Good morning. Eunice Kennedy Shriver's death yesterday seems to have sucked the air right out of the obitsphere; it will be short report today.

New York City skateboarding legend Andy Kessler died of an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. One of his buddies said he was responsible for getting city parks property allocated for skateboarders.

I gave you a brief report yesterday of Riccardo Cassin, the 100-year-old mountain climber; here's a longer story about him, with one of those dizzying photos from the peaks.

A Colorado bookstore owner, rafting in mid-summer, fell into the Green River and drowned. Carol Jacobson, a poet, oral historian and photographer, really loved where she lived.

Reports of the death of those blown-in magazine subscriptions cards, have, unfortunately, been exaggerated, Ad Age says.
