The Times of London gets all New York Post on the late Rep. Charlie Wilson. The headline for its obituary reads: "Death of 'Goodtime Charlie' Wilson, the hot tub heretic who played with history."
Bravo.

We let him play with history, using the old adage that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, or anyone not Communist must be good. We armed the mujahadeen, then walked away (nothing bravura about post-war reconstruction, it just wastes tax dollars, as opposed to wagingthe war), and ended up with the Taliban. Was it worth it?
