CIA family champion and NASA photographer
Pardon me for touting my colleagues' work, but there are two excellent obits in the Washington Post today.
Our top feature is about Betty Villemarette, and Emily Langer's lede says it all: "Housewives had Betty Friedan. CIA wives had Betty Villemarette." Who could resist reading the rest of the story after that?
Just as fascinating is the life of Bill Taub, a self-taught NASA photographer who was the man with the camera for almost 20 years of uncredited work. Emma Brown says he took nearly every official picture of the astronauts -- and you've got to see the photo gallery.
