I think we can safely say Mrs. Edwards had the worst year. Now shes having the best year with our father in eternity.

Safe to respectfully say this woman was a tough old girl in the best tradition of the Democratic party. Jackie Kennedy and Hillary Clinton come to mind along with Elanor Roosevelt and Bess Truman. A truely exclusive club indeed. We often forget the women who make us who we become! I'm sure there are those who qualify from the right as well!!!

It is indeed a sad news but I am glad she did not have to go through prolonged suffering. My condolences to her family and friends. I admired and respected her. She was a very likable person.

Maybe it would be more appropriate to have this subject discussed in a blog not entitled, "Post Mortem." I would hope the WP would have a little more sensitivity.

May God be with the Edwards family and may her children be protected from all harm. God Bless!

If reputed witch Elizabeth is "spending her best year with our father in eternity," [LOL] I'm sure John thinks, "She's welcome to it!"
Now, maybe he can get the comfort and physical care he deserves from a genuine, understanding love interest.

Elizabeth Edwards is an example of class. OK she wasn't perfect, but who is? She didn't slam her husband in public after his misdeeds became known; she went her own way. Here's hoping John Edwards realizes what he missed.
