The Perfect Day

I'm at the Lincoln Memorial -- the best spot in Washington this morning. Sunny and uncrowded and no security. We have a clear view of a jumbotron. As I was trying to pick a seat on the steps that provided the best view, a man draped in a blanket said: "It doesn't matter where you sit at this point. Any place on the planet is a good place to be today. It's a new day."
