Hey Hey, My My (Into The Bathroom)
Over on the Nightclub 930 Forum (user name and password required), somebody suggested that you might not want to go to the bathroom during Neil Young's Constitution Hall concerts tonight and tomorrow.
Just a word of warning: Neil Young's policy on this tour is that if you get up to leave your seat then you cannot come back. People who have gone out to the bathroom have had to wait in the lobby till the concert is over. You are told as you leave your seat you cannot come back by the ushers. I don't know if they make this clear at the venue or not. He wants everyone along for the entire ride, so to speak.
Before you go rushing out the door to buy a catheter, though, we should tell you that Neil's publicist says it ain't really so. "Not true," Bill Bentley writes in an email. "When you come back to your seats, you have to wait until the song he's playing at that time is over, and then you're allowed back in the concert room. Kind of like a Broadway play, I believe."
And just what is Neil playing on the "Chrome Dreams" tour? To help you plan your bathroom break, we have some info after the jump
The set list isn't changing very much from night to night, but there are a few differences. Here, for instance, are the songs from the two shows in Chicago this week:
11-12-2007, Chicago Theater, Chicago, Illinois
From Hank To Hendrix / Ambulance Blues / Sad Movies / A Man Needs A Maid / No One Seems To Know / Harvest / After The Gold Rush / Mellow My Mind / Love Art Blues / Love Is A Rose / Old Man // The Loner / Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere / Dirty Old Man / Spirit Road / Bad Fog Of Loneliness / Winterlong / Oh, Lonesome Me / The Believer / No Hidden Path // Cinnamon Girl / Like A Hurricane

Will Neil tweak the set while he's here and include one or two songs off last year's political broadside, "Living With War"? Constitution Hall is almost within shouting distance of the White House, after all. And besides, he just might want to torture me after I delivered a broadside of my own last year.
