Obama: What Would You Say?

Electoral college shadow puppets!

News item: Dave Matthews will perform a concert in support of Barack Obama's presidential campaign on Sunday at Indiana University.

Reaction (via e-mail from a Dave Matthews Band-despising friend): "I may have to officially withdraw my support of Obama. This is far worse than Rev. Wright's speeches."

Do you agree?

If campaign mixologist/Obama Guy will.i.am could be a threat level, what color threat level would he be?

And where does that lip-syncing video vixen Obama Girl rate?

Vote now. Yes you can.

I think will.i.am's support is a lot more unsettling than Doobie Dave's, if only because of the difficult punctuation.

At least Dave Matthews is better than Heidi Montag from "The Hills", who recently voiced her support of McCain.

But...but, what if we like them all? In the unifying spirit of Barack's campaign, shouldn't there be a fourth option: none of the above?

What voters on the Indiana University campus are they going after, the 12 year plan/professional students playing hacky sack on the quad? Wow, Obama got Wilco in Chicago and Ohio got Arcade Fire. Is Dave Mathews what the IU kids are stealing from the internets these days. Are you sure this in't Virgin Fest Midwest? Maybe the "Man in the Yellow Hat," Jack Johnson can show up to lend credence to Barry being hip for the kids. Maybe Obama can bust some moves like he did on Oprah during, oh sorry, I don't know any songs by DMB or Jack Johnson. And I don't think it gets any better than an endorsement from Heidi from the Hills. She bathes at least.

Admittedly, all 3 are bad, but at least Jack Johnson hasn't made the short list --- yet.

this is dumb. i bet there are people that you actually KNOW and don't like that support obama. does that mean you're going to stop supporting him? NO! get off your high horse and support whoever the hell you want regardless of celebrity endorsements.

Personally, I don't like Dave Matthews or his band. But to let his support influence my vote is just stupid.
