It's a Little Early for Fancy Footwork

It's the beginning of a very long day, so some mindless dance music isn't a bad way to kick things off. There are a couple options in that department right now with The Go! Team playing its hyperactive, sample-heavy party music on the South Stage and Chromeo delivering vocoder-drenched electro-funk in the Dance Tent. The Dance Tent is in the shade (Tent isn't just a clever name) so that's where I am.

The bass is booming enough to make me think I'm having a cardiac episode. Maybe that's just the Starbucks I chugged before coming in. Chromeo has a serious Prince fixation, which is completely understandable, but the songwriting clearly takes a backseat to producing simple, irresistible dance grooves. Still, I can't help but be distracted by one of the dudes's #34 Chicago Bulls jersey. Who is that?! (Aaron Gray, second-year center out of Pittsburgh -- ed.) The most random jersey I've seen so far has to be the Glenn Robinson Atlanta Hawks one.
