Yeah, I Think I'll Stick to the Music
On my way across Pimlico's infield to get to Sharon Jones on the North Stage I figured I'd take in one of the many "attractions," this one being the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus & High-Wire Act. I have a mild case of high-wire fever, I guess, thanks to "Man on Wire." But I saw no high-wire act. I only saw some woman who looked vaguely like Cheryl Hines spend a few minutes putting her ring finger in her mouth while repeating, "Lick, suck. Lick, suck." And with that, it was off to the funky sounds of Sharon and the Dap-Kings.
