Long Awaited Barista Update
Since everyone seemed to enjoy my last tale of talking music with a barista, I figured I'd give you an update. That barista is long gone, but today I once again got the, "Have I ever asked what kind of music you listen to? You're wearing those headphones all the time" question from a different one.
"Mostly indie rock," I said.
Simple, straightforward, honest.
Her response?
A grimace, followed by, "Yeah, have fun with that."
It was kind of refreshing, honestly.

haha...good stuff.
To be annoying, i would have responded: "Awesome! Have you heard of this new band called Vampire Weekend? Or the Hold Steady? They seem like they could hit it big!"

You should have mentioned the Sonic Youth Greatest Hits disc - sold by the barista's employer.
