They Played What, Where? Vol. 2, No. 2

Even though I'm the worst eater this side of your picky 6-year-old nephew (my three food groups are: pizza, bagels and pizza bagels), I enjoy watching "Top Chef." Maybe it was a subconscious thing, with the producers constantly using that one background song that's a complete rip-off of Spoon's "I Turn My Camera On." But last night another song caught my ear, this time during a commercial. It was "Bag of Hammers" by Post Rock favorite Thao Nguyen. Black & Decker seems like the most appropriate fit, but it was actually a Clorox commercial.

Thao will be back in D.C. on April 17 at the Black Cat. Her competition that night is another Post Rock favorite, Lily Allen, although former Post Rock favorite might be more accurate now. Check out the video for "Bag of Hammers" below and let us know if it makes you want to scrub something.

My wife and I heard that too! We just about fell off the couch. The commercial doesn't include her singing but it does feature her simultaneous humming and beatboxing, which is nice.

*Spoiler Alert*

Thank god they finally voted Leah off. Finally.
