Yes definitely Matt and Kim were a trip. The 2 of them kept referring to Kim's having drank alcohol before the show, but Honey, are you sure it was just ALCOHOL you ingested? However they were so positive and hyper I couldn't help but smile throughout their entire performance. I also liked how much they seemed to appreciate their fans.
This was my third time seeing Cut Copy so of course I am a fan. The first time (at the Black Cat) they seemed excited to be here in DC for the first time. The second time, at the 9:30 Club, they seemed tired and bored. I was worried this time, they might be downright hostile. But their connection with the audience last night was okay overall. The nutty guitarist/miscellaneous-instrument-player seemed happy in his own groovy world, but boy did his guitar-playing sound awful at times. Too loud, sometimes hitting the wrong notes, etc. Still had a blast though, and I hope they finish their next album quickly and get back to DC!

last nights show was sick--i really hope a review is coming. matt & kim were a great opener, there energy was infectious to the point I think they need a sedative. cut copy just killed it, the encore had the entire floor jumping & dancing. i thought bloc party sunday was good, but last night blew it up. why are all the good shows this week, i want to go see soft pack tonight but I am too tired. glasvegas thursday though, for sure
