Hey, A Reader Compared Me to Obama!*

* In an unflattering way, of course.

Justin Moore, former resident of Small Town, USA.

Please Read the Letter: Vol. 1, No. 4: The latest entry in the newish Post Rock series in which I publish unedited email from readers who rant and rail about my work. Today's missive comes from Susan Guy. (Wonder if she, too, was at the Jamey Johnson show last night, raising her beer to the Alabama beardo's jaw-dropping honky-tonk ballads and songs about old cowboy values and such. Pretty sure I didn't see her there. Huh.)

It's funny to me that liberals today who are supposedly so all-inclusive and accepting are so offended and threatened by any thought other than their own. If country music is "narrowcasting" by appealing to their base and singing songs about patriotism and growing up in a small town and the values that they learned there, tell me, what does rap or hip hop music appeal to? Not to me. I think you people are ridiculously paranoid - not unlike our new president who attacks anyone who doesn't agree with him.
