Will Wright Leaves EA
One of the world's most famous game designers is leaving one of the world's largest videogame publishers.
Will Wright, lead creator of bestselling computer game titles like The Sims and Spore, is leaving Electronic Arts for his own venture, called Stupid Fun Club (if you can't get this site to work in your browser, you're not alone, by the way).
Wright's latest venture is "an entertainment think tank developing new Intellectual Properties to be deployed across multiple fronts including video games, movies, television, the internet, and toys," according to a press release on the matter.
But Wright isn't completely parting company with EA; he and the game publisher will own an equal share of Wright's company and EA will have the right to make videogame's based on Stupid Fun Club's projects.
