Web programming, Web design top list of hot online jobs in 2011

By Hayley Tsukayama

Looking for a tech job in the new year? Focus your efforts on Web programming and Web design.

Those jobs topped the list as the online marketplace oDesk released its analysis of the best tech jobs going into 2011. Other assets employers are looking for include a talent for working with mobile and social media, as well as an increased demand for bloggers.

Tech jobs fared well this year, as employment numbers nearly doubled over 2009 to 620,000 jobs posted. And oDesk said the job market in this area will only get better moving into the new year, as more than 500,000 employers start the move toward cloud-based workforces, including 25 percent of the Fortune 500.
