Wrestling: Maryland state tournament

The Maryland state wrestling tournament kicks off Friday afternoon at the University of Maryland's Cole Field House. The two-day event begins with the preliminary, quarterfinal and consolation preliminary matches on Friday.

When the tournament resumes on Saturday, be sure to check out PrepsPost where I'll be live-blogging from the tournament starting with the semifinals at 11 a.m. There will be interviews, recaps of big matches and also -- assuming the technology cooperates -- video updates. You can also follow me on Twitter @WPKatieCarrera where I'll be posting throughout the day.

In the meantime, the MPSSAA website will have live updated scores that you can follow here. The state finals are slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, with 2A/1A matches starting at 103 pounds while 4A/3A bouts will start at 285.
