Davidson leaves Potomac (Md.), replaced by assistant

Chris Davidson has resigned as the football coach at Potomac (Md.) and will be replaced for former assistant Ronnie Crump.

Davidson said that he left Potomac to take a position at Cape Hatteras Secondary School in Buxton, N.C. He will coach football, be an assistant athletic director and teach social studies there.

In two seasons at Potomac, Davidson guided the Wolverines to a 12-9 record and one playoff appearance. He previously had been the head coach at West Potomac and La Plata.

“A guy that I know who works down there contacted me – they had a vacancy and he knew I loved it down there,” Davidson said. “I applied for that job seven years ago when it was open. It the right time, right opportunity.”
