Broad Run Lax Player Heads to Mount St. Mary's

Broad Run athletic director Jack Kirby reports that Spartans senior lacrosse star Andy Londos, one of the team's leading scorers in '09 ( 49 goals and 39 assists), has verbally committed to Mount St. Mary's University in Emmittsburg, Md. Mount Saint Mary’s competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with teams that include Providence, Saint Joseph's, and Siena. Mount St. Mary's also plays nonleague league contests against Virginia, Navy, Georgetown, and Johns Hopkins.
Last season, Broad Run made its first ever trip to the Virginia state semifinals.
“My staff and I reviewed Andy's ability this summer and were very pleased with his size, quickness, and footwork. He has great vision and sees the field well, something very important at the D-1 level as the ball moves much quicker.” said Mount Saint Mary’s lacrosse coach Tom Gravante. “Athletically, he's solid and I feel his best and strongest games are in his future here when he gains strength. "We are very excited about his verbal commitment to attend MSM next fall.”
