Glynn out at Mount Vernon

Tom Glynn, who led the Mount Vernon football team to playoff berths the past two seasons before the Majors fell to 0-10 this fall, is no longer the team’s coach.

Glynn declined to comment Wednesday morning and referred me to school administrators, who could not immediately be reached.

Glynn coached the Majors for five years, compiling a 21-32 record. Mount Vernon went 9-3 last season, one game shy of reaching the Virginia AAA Division 5 Northern Region championship.

Glynn formerly coached at Douglass High School in Prince George’s County.
