Two Chantilly Chargers to sign with D-I schools

Chantilly seniors Samantha Reeves and Allison Williams have received offers from a pair of Division I volleyball programs and both will sign a national letter-of-intent next week.

Reeves, a 2008 first team All-Met outside hitter, is headed to Loyola (Maryland) while Williams, a middle hitter and 2008 second team All-Met selection, will play for Villanova. Together, Reeves and Williams helped lead Chantilly to the program's first Virginia AAA semifinal and this fall they have the No. 3 Chargers poised for another long postseason run. The two have played volleyball on and off together since fourth grade.

Chantilly will honor both players along with senior lacrosse star Elizabeth Dunwoody - who will play for the University of Florida - at a signing ceremony Nov. 12 at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room of the main office.

The Chargers face off against Robinson in the Concorde District tournament final Thursday at Centreville High School at 6:30 p.m. In their regular season meeting, Chantilly won a five-set thriller that would decide the regular season championship.
