Bishop Ireton to Raise Funds for Haitian Sister School at Basketball Game

Bishop Ireton, which has a sister school, Louverture Cleary School, 10 miles outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti, will be collecting donations at Friday night's WCAC varsity basketball game vs. Gonzaga to aid those affected by the earthquake. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. At Last Friday's basketball game, Ireton raised $1,600 for Louverture Cleary.

In addition, Ireton is donating to Louverture Cleary all ticket sale proceeds from this weekend's drama club staged readings of Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. The staged readings will be held Friday at 7:30, Saturday at 4 and 7:30 and Sunday at 2 in the Bishop Ireton auditorium.
Bishop Ireton students and faculty have been conducting mission trips to Louverture Cleary and have over the years donated $100,000 to the school.
