Press Break The Post's Rundown of Local and National College Basketball
Bracketized - December 8, 2008

Each week in this space, Press Break will run a bracket-style tournament with user voting determining who advances and ultimately "wins."

Last week, Catholic Coach Steve Howes' stunning run through a 16-entry field culminated in a thrilling final against Georgetown's John Thompson III. Howes overcame a late weekend comeback by Thompson to be crowned the best coach in the area by Bracketized voters.

This week's question asks Bracketized voters to think back over some of the best basketball memories our area schools have given us over the years. In the interest of being inclusive, we limited entries to one per school, leaving out shining moments such as Ralph Sampson vs. Patrick Ewing. As memorable as the hype surrounding that clash was, it didn't make the field for this week's debate: What is the most memorable area college basketball story? First-round play is Monday and Tuesday, with quarterfinals Wednesday, semis Thursday and the final Friday through the weekend. The featured first-round matchup is below. The other seven matchups are on the jump.
