Dec. 19, 10:15 a.m.: Louisville beat Mississippi last night at U.S. Bank Arena, but the real intrigue involved the arrest of Ole Miss Coach Andy Kennedy, the former University of Cincinnati head coach.
Kennedy was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of assault after being accused of punching a cab driver while calling him “bin Laden” and other racial insults. Kennedy denied the charges.

The other off-the-court development in recent days was the allegation by Eric Gordon, the former Indiana player, that drug use caused a rift on last year’s Indiana team.
