The status of Chris McHenry, Calvin Thompson and Adam Walker remains uncertain. The trio did not play Saturday at Florida A&M or Monday at Bethune-Cookman because of academic issues. Walker, a sophomore forward, may be available for Saturday's home game against Winston-Salem State. Freshmen guards McHenry and Thompson, however, could be out for the semester. McHenry and Thompson are eligible to play under NCAA rules, according to Coach Gil Jackson, but not under the school's own grade-point average requirement. Howard freshmen student-athletes must have a 2.0 gpa after the first semester to play the second semester. McHenry, the MEAC rookie of the week two weeks ago, is the team's second-leading scorer. Thompson and Walker each started six games.
