Navy welcomed back Romeo Garcia to the lineup on Wednesday’s night. The sophomore guard, who was an all-Patriot League rookie team selection last season, had missed 18 games this season because of hamstring injuries. He hadn’t played for the Midshipmen since Dec. 22. Garcia, a starter before his injury woes, came off the bench at Holy Cross to play 18 minutes in Navy's 74-69 loss. He grabbed two rebounds and scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting.
“It’s great to have Romeo back,” Navy Coach Billy Lange said. “We are very happy for him, and he is a big part of what we want to do down the stretch. We have to work him back in the lineup. . . . He adds some depth for our team, and hopefully, he can continue to stay healthy.”
