Virginia Tech sophomore guard Hank Thorns will miss today's game against No. 7 Duke because of an illness. The loss is a difficult blow for the Hokies, who have relied on Thorns throughout the ACC. He started for the first time of the season in Wednesday's win over No. 12 Clemson and was instrumental in breaking the Tigers' press.
The illness also means guard Malcolm Delaney must remain at point guard, and possibly play the entire game. Virginia Tech has no other primary ball handler.
