For the second straight year, no GW player was selected to any of the all-Atlantic 10 Conference teams. Although senior Rob Diggs was a preseason all-conference second-team pick, the Colonials did not place anyone on the first, second, third or honorable mention teams. They also did not have any one selected to the all-rookie, all-defensive or all-academic teams. Saint Joseph's Ahmad Nivins was the player of the year. St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson was the rookie of the year. Massachusetts' Tony Gaffney was the defensive player of the year. Duquesne's Aaron Jackson won the Chris Daniels most improved player of the year. Rhode Island's Delroy James was the sixth man of the year. Saint Louis' Kevin Lisch was the student-athlete of the year. And Rhode Island's Jim Baron was the coach of the year.
