Damian Hollis was selected the Atlantic 10 co-player of the week, the first time he has earned the award. The junior forward’s back-to-back double-doubles against Charlotte and Richmond led GW to consecutive wins for the first time since December. Hollis scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the Colonials’ 92-88 overtime win against Charlotte and had 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in their 66-57 win at Richmond, just the third road win for GW this season. The Colonials (10-16, 4-10 Atlantic 10) are now only one game out of 12th place in the conference standings. The top 12 teams are invited to Atlantic City for the conference tournament.
