George Mason received some good news when X-rays revealed that freshman forward Ryan Pearson does not have any broken bones in his right hand. A school spokesman said that Pearson remains day-to-day. It is not known whether he will be ready to play in the Patriots' Colonial Athletic Association tournament opener on Saturday. Pearson averages 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game for Mason.
