From the Associated Press:
Virginia Commonwealth Coach Anthony Grant flew to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for a second round of meetings with Alabama officials seeking a replacement for Mark Gottfried.
Grant and his wife, Christina, arrived this morning for meetings with university officials and a campus tour, athletics spokesman Doug Walker said.
Grant also met with Alabama officials Sunday in Virginia, a person familiar with the meeting said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the talks are ongoing.
Grant declined comment to reporters yesterday before leaving with Alabama Athletic Director Mal Moore and several trustees for meetings, including one with President Robert Witt.
The 42-year-old Grant has led VCU to two NCAA tournament appearances in the last three seasons.
