The Boston Globe is reporting that Georgetown assistant coach Robert Burke has interviewed for the head coaching job at Boston University, and that Navy Coach Billy Lange may also be a candidate.
The Globe reported that Burke interviewed for the position last week in Boston. Burke has been an assistant at Georgetown for Coach John Thompson III's entire tenure, which began in 2004. Before that, Burke was an assistant to Thompson at Princeton from 2000 to 2004.
Lange just completed his fifth season as Navy's head coach. He has a 69-77 record in Annapolis, including a 19-11 campaign last season that ended when Navy was upset by Colgate in the first round of the Patriot League tournament.
Before coming to Navy, Lange was an assistant to Jay Wright at Villanova for three seasons.
Boston University is looking to replace Dennis Wolff, who was fired on March 11 after 15 seasons as the Terriers' coach.
