Tennessee associate head coach Tony Jones is the leading candidate to become the new head coach at Boston University, according to the Boston Globe.

"They are talking and working on a few things," a source familiar with the negotiations told the Globe. "But it looks pretty good."

On Wednesday, the Globe reported that Georgetown assistant coach Robert Burke interviewed for the BU job last week. The Globe also reported that Navy Coach Billy Lange was among the candidates for the job, which opened up when the school fired Dennis Wolff after 15 seasons.

Jones has been an assistant to Coach Bruce Pearl for four seasons at Tennessee and three at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
