Louise and the Kosher Korean Column
For those who might be curious to follow up on today's column on Louise Fisher, the cook and cooking teacher who leads forays into Asian supermarkets, here's Louise's site, which features recipes and information about her cooking classes.
And here's the Korean supermarket chain, Han Ah Reum, which has stores in both Maryland and Virginia, as well as in the New York metro area.

Interesting that this should show up. This is something that my wife and I have been doing for some time. We take a group of varied nationalities through the intricacies of Super H and explain what those strange vegetables are, how to find bean paste that won't take the top of your head off, which Korean cookies are the best, and other survival tips. We don't aim our explorations at any one group, anyone who is interested can come.
