Please Welcome The Fabulous Ann Gerhart

I'll be uncharacteristically quiet for the next week, but Raw Fisher never sleeps: Ann Gerhart--the former Reliable Source columnist, biographer of First Lady Laura Bush, writer for the Post's Style section, and now features editor of the Style section--will be here to offer piercing observations and tasty nuggets for your reading pleasure.

Please treat her well, enjoy her fine work and, as always, jump in on the comment board--you'll find her thoughtful, feisty and remarkably versatile.

SQS: Final question, what would you name Washington's new major-league baseball team?

AG: The Washington Deficits.

Washington no longer has deficits, please amend your suggestion to "The National Deficits". You can give naming rights to the parking garage to MD and VA, where the local owners live...

Hmmm...afraid of the 'retard' backlash, I guess, or maybe on the hunt for ice cream at RFK (just buy a dog & a beer)

So, Marc, you're skipping town for a week rather than deal with us natives gloating about the series sweep over your beloved Yankees?

Oops, I meant "win," not sweep.

So, where is she? I think you should have asked John Kelly.

Good question, WB. I'd appreciate an on the record apology for her trite and offensive comment perpetuating the stereotypical fallacy that DC has deficits!

It's not like DC has voted through local deficit in years, or even HAS a vote in the national budget...

Pretty please?

"I'll be uncharacteristically quiet for the next week, but Raw Fisher never sleeps"

Well, guess this was false...

We'll just make up our own topics. So, do you think Marc Fisher wears boxers or briefs?
