Letter Perfect

SOME ROAD IN PULASKI COUNTY, Va.--Michael pulled off the road when he saw the sign, lured by its misplaced, damaged letters. He grabbed his camera, curious about a place that seemed to be advertising “antiques” and “goats,” when suddenly the owner emerged, surprised anyone would care.

“A guy missed the turn and hit my sign,” he said. “I’m not supposed to touch it until the insurance adjuster shows up.’

Just up the road, we'd pass a different sign that grabbed my attention and had us laughing for hours. On a marquee outside a church, it read: “Live like you are dying…'cause you are.”
