A Little Bump In The Road

Because most trips have roadblocks, I guess it's only fitting this blog have one, too. Some of you have told us that you’ve tried to post comments lately, but the blog hasn’t let you. I’m not sure why that is, but I assure you we haven’t blocked anything you’ve had to say. We like comments – provocative comments, funny comments, even comments that sometimes sting (and some definitely do).
Every night after we check into a hotel (often someplace cheap and well after midnight, so we’re left ringing a bell outside a bulletproof window), Michael and I look to see what you’ve written. After all, we are on this trip – and hustling to cover as much ground as we can in only a few months – to give you as accurate and vivid a picture as possible of this recession. Your feedback helps us do that. You are as much a part of the story as the people we are talking to from state to state.
So, please keep the comments coming. And to those of you who have been unable to get through, I’m sorry. I’ve talked to our technical gurus about the problem and they are looking into it. In the meantime, if you have something to say and can’t get it posted, feel free to send me an email.
Also, I should have said this sooner, but Half a Tank is on Twitter. Michael and I are also making TV and radio appearances as we travel to get word out about the blog. Next week (after we tell you about a diamond mine in Arkansas, a Great Depression icon in Oklahoma and a few Texas tales), we'll be heading to Nevada and California. So, if there is anything you think we should see while we're there, leave us a comment – if you can.

You should stop by Lawton, OK -- Town survives off the military -- but not much town. There is a lot there if you look.
Great Series! Keep up the great work!
