Melon-choly Man

NEW ORLEANS--He couldn't keep his head up or his eyes open. Like a marionette controlled by a distracted master, his head would pop upright quickly, move from side to side as he scanned the road and then drop just as suddenly. Up and down it bobbed until the man selling watermelons finally gave in to sleep, letting his limbs fall limp under an absent master's strings.
